Larry has more than 36 years of experience in the financial services industry, with specialized expertise in retirement planning and investment management.
He’ll tell you investing can be a complex, ever-changing process, as goals change and the strategies used for pursuing them evolve over time. He knows his clients count on him to take the burden off their shoulders and guide them on their lifelong journeys – a responsibility he embraces.
He has a knack for tuning out the noise and getting to the crux of the matter – this applies to both planning and money management issues.
He believes that the media largely stokes euphoria and pessimism, and that his role is to put things in the proper perspective, as objectively and as clearly as possible – which he regularly does through his client letters.
Before joining Raymond James in May 2017, Larry was a managing director and investment officer at Wells Fargo Advisors (and its predecessor firms Wachovia Securities and A.G. Edwards & Sons) in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, where he worked for more than 28 years. He began his career at Merrill Lynch in Burlington, Massachusetts, in 1984.
Larry earned a bachelor’s degree from the Suffolk University School of Management, graduating magna cum laude. He was a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Business Honor Society and an assistant captain of the varsity hockey team. He earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1992. He went back to school at night to earn his MBA from Boston University’s Graduate School of Management, knowing it could help him make better decisions for his clients in the ensuing years.
Originally from Norwood, Massachusetts, Larry lives in Chelmsford with his wife, Sheila, and their daughters, Grace, Rose and Sophie. In his free time, Larry enjoys studying history, playing hockey, bike riding, traveling and spending time with his family, vacationing on Cape Cod, and skiing and hiking the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards Inc. owns the certification marks CFP®, Certified Financial Planner™, and in the U.S., which it awards to individuals who successfully complete CFP Board's initial and ongoing certification requirements.
